Purchasing tree seed

For over 50 years the Australian Tree Seed Centre has been collecting, researching and supplying quality, fully documented tree seed to both domestic and overseas customers. Collections of seed are sourced from wild populations and genetically improved seed from our domestication and improvement programs.

Seed orchards

Acacia crassicarpa QLD

The Acacia crassicarpa seed production area located in north Queensland produces improved seed and serves as part of a base population for breeding.

Acacia mangium QLD

The seedling seed orchards of Acacia mangium located in north Queensland produce improved seed and serve as a part of a base population for breeding.

Corymbia maculata

The seedling and clonal seed orchards of Corymbia maculata located at Deniliquin and Corowa, New South Wales, Australia produce improved seed and serve as part of a base population for breeding.

Eucalyptus benthamii NSW and ACT

The seedling seed orchards of Eucalyptus benthamii located in Deniliquin, New South Wales and Kowen, ACT produce improved seed, utilising selected families from natural populations. They also serve as part of a base population for breeding.

Eucalyptus cladocalyx NSW and VIC

The seedling seed orchards of Eucalyptus cladocalyx (Sugar Gum) are located at Corowa, New South Wales, and Benalla, Victoria. They produce improved seeds and serve as part of a base population for breeding.

Eucalyptus dunnii

The ATSC manages four Eucalyptus dunnii seed orchards located in Deniliquin and Corowa New South Wales, Australia to produce improved seed and to serve as a base population for breeding.
