CBG Systems

Innovation Connections and CSIRO researchers helped Hobart based CBG Systems develop and manufacture a new marine fire protection product, RAC Plus. It’s now being exported for use in military, merchant marine and passenger vessels.

Artificial Intelligence Roadmap

Australian submariners to breathe easier

Australia’s national science agency, CSIRO, has joined forces with technical and engineering services company QinetiQ on a ground breaking project that aims to let submarines stay submerged longer while using less power and providing better conditions for sailors.

DARPA Challenge

CSIRO's Data61's Robotics and Autonomous Systems Group is one of 11 teams selected worldwide to participate in the three-year DARPA Subterranean challenge, and is the only Australian entity. The challenge, funded by the US's Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, aims to explore new approaches to rapidly map, navigate, and search underground environments.
