Our research and partnerships

Indigenous knowledge

We are working with Indigenous collaborators to support the strengthening of Indigenous knowledge and knowledge systems so we are all able to weave and share knowledge in ways that recognise the integrity, validity and context of each different knowledge system.

Managing Country

We are partnering with Indigenous land and sea managers to develop tools and methods to support them to do their business, address risk and change, plan and manage Country to create environmental, social, cultural and economic benefits.

Indigenous enterprise

Our work with Indigenous partners is developing technologies, methods and information to support Indigenous-led entrepreneurship, new industries, sustainable land, water and sea Country-based enterprises and successful enterprise models.

Indigenous health

We are partnering with Indigenous organisations and communities to co-design and co-develop potential e-Health solutions to complement existing successful models of care for some of the most significant health issues in their communities.

Indigenous careers

We're committed to encouraging more Indigenous people to work with us, in all areas of science, research and support services.

Indigenous STEM Education Project

The Indigenous STEM Education Project aimed to increase interest and academic achievement among Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects and related professions.

Indigenous ecological knowledge

In partnership with Indigenous communities working on country, the Atlas of Living Australia (ALA) is exploring the role of information management platforms in bridging the boundaries between traditional and contemporary Indigenous knowledge and western science.
